Camper Registration for KIDS Camp 2026 is now open!!!
Responsibilities include:
Developing 20-25 interesting and creative activities that emphasize “process not product,” some of which relate to theme.
Gathering all supplies needed for the centers.
Staying within the budget of crafts.
Keeping morale high.
Having activity centers ready when campers arrive, and keeping them in good order all week.
Setting up, taking down and storing all supplies for centers.
Praying for the camp.
Responsibilities include:
Receiving Bible story materials from Curriculum Coordinator as well as an overview of the annual camp theme (e.g. Sheepfold, Olympics, In Search of God’s Treasure, Following New Blueprints) and daily themes.
Receiving information from Curriculum Coordinator on budget allocated for Bible stories and procedures for reimbursing expenses.
Overseeing coordination of the “chapel,” “assembly” (i.e. Sheepfold, Olympic Arena, Jungle, Construction Zone, etc.) time, and cooperates with Music and Drama Coordinators to work Royal Family KIDS Camp (RFKC) songs and drama into this time.
Teaching four or five daily Bible lessons using RFKC curriculum and develops creative and engaging ways to teach the daily Bible stories.
Discussing with the Curriculum Coordinator any special needs (e.g. A/V materials, special setup, need for helpers, etc.) and provides progress reports periodically.
Encouraging the campers to use their activity books which include the annual camp theme, daily themes, and ideas for campers to think about with their counselors.
Praying for the camp.
Responsibilities include:
Receiving Breakfast Club materials (Puppet Scripts, Object Lessons, etc.) from Curriculum Coordinator as well as an overview of the annual camp theme (e.g. Sheepfold, Olympics, In Search of God’s Treasure, Following New Blueprints), and daily themes.
Receiving information from Curriculum Coordinator on budget allocated for Breakfast Club and procedures for reimbursing expenses.
Planning daily Breakfast Club sessions using RFKC curriculum, and works on creative and engaging ways to fill this hour of “counselor relief.”
Cooperating with Music Coordinator to work RFKC songs into Breakfast Club.
Overseeing those who do puppet scripts, object lessons, and other activities associated with Breakfast Club.
Discussing with the Curriculum Coordinator any special needs (e.g. A/V materials, puppet stage, need for helpers, etc.), and provides progress reports periodically.
Praying for the camp.
Responsibilities include:
Caring for no more than two assigned campers.
Undergoing 12 hours of training for their first year, as well as 8 hours of in-person training each following year spent volunteering with RFKC as full-time staff.
Ensuring campers keep track of their water bottles and name tags.
Helping campers follow the written camp schedule.
Understanding how to implement Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) methods for resolving conflicts or camper issues.
Making welcome posters for their assigned campers.
Boosting morale.
Participating in song and dance during Breakfast Club and evening Chapel.
Helping campers do their activity books which include the annual camp theme, daily themes, and ideas for campers to think about with their counselors.
Encouraging campers who may be nervous or going through a hard time.
Being patient with campers who may struggle through schedule transitions.
Participating in the tea party (girls) and sports day (boys).
Decorating their campers' bunks before they arrive.
Comforting nervous campers.
Loving on campers as much as humanly possible.
Participating in scheduled activities together with their campers.
Praying for camp.
Responsibilities include:
Working with the Director in the selection of counselors.
Working with the Director to match counselors and campers.
Inspecting the facilities with the Camp Nurse before the arrival of campers.
Working with first-year counselors to ensure they are prepared for camp
Understanding how to implement TBRI methods for resolving conflicts and camper issues
Promoting camp morale
Working to keep counselors and campers on time for each event
Praying for the camp
Responsibilities include:
Receiving drama materials (Puppet Scripts, Object Lessons, etc.) from the Curriculum Coordinator as well as an overview of the annual camp theme (e.g. Royal Court, Sheepfold, Olympics, In Search of God’s Treasure, Following New Blueprints), and daily themes.
Receiving information from the Curriculum Coordinator on the budget allocated for drama and procedures for reimbursing expenses.
Working with the Curriculum Coordinator to select personnel for drama and assign roles.
Planing daily drama productions using the RFKC curriculum, schedules, and oversees all drama rehearsals (before and during camp), and oversees all set preparations for the daily drama.
Discussing with the Curriculum Coordinator any special needs (e.g. A/V materials, puppet stage, need for helpers, etc.) and provides progress reports periodically.
Praying for the camp.
Responsibilities include:
Working with the logistics coordinator on Saturday and Sunday before camp. These are all-day events.
Working with logistics coordinator to ensure supplies are at the right place at the right time.
Assisting with daily laundry.
Sorting and organizing supplies and equipment.
Assisting with tear-down and return to storage on the last day of camp. This is an all-day event.

Responsibilities may include:
Logistics assistant duties.
Drama team duties.
Worship team duties.
Tech support.
Nighttime counselor relief.
Gopher.
Praying for camp.
Responsibilities include:
Being at camper registration to collect medication and screen campers for illness.
Ensuring a copy of each camper’s Insurance I.D. card accompanies their application.
Total health care program and record-keeping for the camp.
Observing the general health conditions of the Resident staff, and reporting daily any problems to the Camp Director.
Screening incoming campers upon arrival in camp for ear infections, foreign objects in ears, the reaction of pupils to light, swollen and infected tonsils, throat infections, head lice, and any specific complaints of campers.
Keeping all medications secure in the infirmary.
Collecting health histories and reports of physical examinations from the campers and keeping them on file in the infirmary.
Maintaining the Nurse’s Log Book of all medical treatments given. All records are to be kept for statutory limit by the Director.
Observing everyone in camp for specific problems.
Determining how all disabilities and injuries are to be handled.
Maintaining first aid kits and ensuring that each group going away from the main camp has a first aid kit with them.
Ensuring each Counselor & Staff Member is equipped with an RFKC Fanny Pak containing: gauze wipes, antiseptic wipes, vinyl gloves, band aids (2-3).

Responsibilities include:
Must have professional training and credentials that meet the highest licensing requirements of the state.
Assisting each counselor to help alleviate the tension lines established by a camping experience.
Being a liaison to a child’s professional counselor or psychiatrist during camp, should a major issue arise during the week.
Assisting in training sessions.
